Our Story
Converging Hearts began with Jed — a letterboard, a few supported words, and a realization that changed everything.
Through spelling, I came to know who he truly is: intelligent, funny, insightful, and full of love. As our trust grew, our communication moved beyond letters into something intuitive and energetic — a connection that showed us how much can be shared without a single spoken word.
From that connection came art — bold, layered, and alive. Every piece carries emotion, movement, and meaning. It’s more than art to look at; it’s art meant to be felt.
For Jed and for many non-speakers, creating art is both a voice and a form of healing. Each brushstroke offers release, integration, and expression. And for those who experience the work, something happens too — a softening, a resonance, a remembering.
The art heals in both directions.
Converging Hearts grew from this shared experience and vision: to create a space where non-speaking autistic individuals can express themselves fully, be recognized for their gifts, and connect through all forms of communication — spelling, art, energy, and presence.
Our dream is to open a physical studio where that kind of connection and expression can thrive — a home where non-speakers are not managed or measured, but met. A place where their voices, however they appear, are honored and celebrated.
At its core, Converging Hearts is about the space between us that only love can reach — and what becomes possible when we meet each other there.
