Our Vision
Our vision is to create a studio where non-speakers can create, express, explore, and simply be—a space built for their brilliance, not their limitations. We imagine an art and spelling studio where individuals like Jed are honored for their intelligence and gifts, and where they can paint, spell, or simply exist in the presence of people who truly understand them.
After five years of being Jed’s homeschool teacher, caregiver, and communication partner, we are ready for a space that supports our next chapter. We want a dedicated environment where our creative partnership can grow, where we can work together with focus and intention, and where other non-speakers can also receive the same attuned support that has helped Jed thrive.
This studio will provide the structure we need to create sustainable income—easing the financial strain of Jed’s care while allowing both of us to be supported through the artwork we create. Our goal is to generate enough income to fund my salary, pay Jed fairly for his contributions, and eventually offer stipends to other participating artists.
We also envision hosting workshops and meeting with parents who want to understand their non-speaking children more deeply. By sharing what we have learned, we hope to strengthen communication, clarity, and connection within families.
Above all, our vision is to build a place where love expands and lives are changed—through art, through spelling, and through the power of presence.
